The daughter of artist-musician-professors, Clara Youtz was raised on a steady diet of creativity and eccentricities. Much to her parents’ chagrin, Clara quickly developed a fierce affinity for pop culture, sass, and sparkles. Thankfully, this combination ultimately steeped together into the relatable, thoughtful, and irreverent work Clara has grown up to produce.

After graduating from Pop Music school in Liverpool, UK, Clara returned home to Tacoma, WA. Her subsequent mental unraveling became the impetus for her first podcast Life Is Trash and her debut EP The Deep Dark under her musical moniker Youtz.

Clara is currently a Master’s candidate at the University of Washington in their Communication Leadership program. Her second EP as Youtz, Darling, We’re Losing, was released in August 2022. Clara is currently recording and developing her second podcast Take A Beat and her portfolio of essays and other written works while serving as social media community manager for the King County labor council.
